WOEA teacher members (current and retired) who would like an evening of entertainment, food, and laughter will enjoy attending the WOEA Teacher Appreciation Banquet on Wednesday, April 29. There is a deposit of $15 which will be refunded the evening of the event. Non-WOEA members are welcome to attend, but the fee is non-refundable.
This event will take place at Aullwood Farm which is nestled in a 200-acre nature sanctuary three miles west of Dayton International Airport. The auditorium windows look across a grassy lawn to a century-old bank barn and pastures.
We are pleased to announce that Kay Frances, funny motivational speaker, will be the key-note speaker. Kay's humor combined with her expertise in stress management not only offers useful information, but shows folks a rollicking good time in the process. It's clean, energetic, "humor-with-a-message at its funniest. Feeling stressed? Worried about change? Dealing with difficult people? No need for "brain strain." It's Motivational Humorist, Kay Frances, to the STRESS-cue! In this fun, lively and interactive presentation, Kay Frances, will help us to understand and identify the things that stress us. Your stress level will thank you!
Motivational Humorist, Kay Frances, has shared her message to "lighten up, stress less and take care of ourselves" in 38 states and Canada for over 30 years. She holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration, a degree in Physical Education and a 4th degree black belt in karate. She was also a family caregiver for 7 years.
When it comes to humor, Kay is the "real deal" having performed as a professional standup comedian for many years and appearing on a number of national television and radio programs, including Lifetime Cable's "Girls Night Out" and NBC's "America's Funniest People." She also lived and performed in New York City where she appeared at the nation's top comedy clubs such as "The Improvisation" and "Catch a Rising Star." Kay is the author of "The Funny Thing about Stress; A Seriously Humour Guide to a Happier Life." Kay will have books for sale after the program.
